Santa
Barbara County is a world-class touring and tasting destination,
renowned for distinguished wines and golden countryside dotted
with quaint western towns and friendly locals. Today's wine
boom centers in the Santa Ynez and Santa Maria Valleys, boasting
56 wineries. Acclaimed for its Chardonnay and Pinot Noir varietals,
the area also produces Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Rhone varietals
such as Syrah.
The
beautiful countryside around Buellton, Lompoc, and Santa Maria
produces some of the region's best wines. Santa Barbara Visitors
can sample some excellent selections of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay,
and Sauvignon Blanc in a variety of local inspirational settings.
